PEP VENTURA

Pep Ventura, was a musician and composer who consolidated the long sardana and reformed the cobla giving it amplitude. He was a popular figure at the time as an entrepreneurial cobla leader, prolific composer and tenor. He always lived in Figueres. He was an admirable instrumentalist, idol in the majors Empordà celebrations, so good at  the flabiol, the flute, the clarinet and insuperable and agilísimo improvisador in the "obligados" of the waltzes, masurques, polques and rigodons, maximum delight of the villagers ( 1817-1875 )



 

NUMANCIA
